Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing and wrestling before making her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent within the first round. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and end Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. In a recent match replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
