It was a difficult experience for Mitchell. The song was featured in the 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she wrote about her experience. Mitchell's friend of 15 years Angela passed away in a fatal vehicle crash. Mitchell was devastated and composed the track Angel for Angela on her first album. The novel Chicken Soup of the Preteen Soul as well as her 7th Heaven episode, Nothing Endures But Change also mentions the incident.
